Our employees are empowered.
And we’re not just talking power tools.
Right from the start we hire only the best and brightest employees. That’s because we’re not just looking for people to do the work, we need people who solve problems, come up with innovative ideas and pay meticulous attention to detail.

Jessica Ledger-Kalen
Co-founder and President of Royale Concrete, Jessica not only oversees general operations, she also has extensive field experience. Her focus, determination and business experience have helped Royale Concrete expand from 4 sq. ft. jobs to 70,000 sq. ft. projects.
Jessica is also invested in the community, serving on the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors as well as the Fairfield Art Association Board. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Iowa class of 2009-2010.

Jeremy Waugh
Jeremy became fascinated with the concrete process as a driver for Ideal Ready Mix more than a decade ago. Now he is skilled in site prep, forming, pouring, coloring, stamping, polishing and finishing. As Vice President and Co-founder of Royale Concrete, Jeremy manages field operations, bidding and assists in business development. Jeremy has also earned Craftsman Accreditation through CPAA and is Husqvarna-Certified.
As a fact-fanatic youngster, Jeremy could recite stats from his baseball card collection that contained more than 40,000 cards. Now, he astonishes clients by citing little known facts about the finer points of concrete.
Justin Toben
Before joining our team, Justin gained field experience working as a residential and commercial carpenter and an ironworker. And just recently he received the coveted Husqvarna Certification. As our concrete former and finisher and a Craftsman-Certified polisher, Justin is always looking for innovative ways to improve our processes.
As a child, Justin put his creative construction mind to work designing a miniature golf course complete with bridges and water holes on the dirt floor of his family’s barn. Noting an obvious lack of golf clubs in the barn, he also repurposed a few old crowbars to serve as putters. Brilliant!
Erin Chung
Artist, designer and photographer, Erin serves as the Chief Morale Support Officer at Royale Concrete. Since 2006 Erin has put her energy, ideas and experience to work for us. Whether she’s cheering up the crew with coffee delivery or offering visionary ideas to the leadership team, Erin’s smiling face and unbridled spirit make her an invaluable asset. (Rumors that she once lassoed a reindeer somewhere above the Arctic Circle means she rarely gets any backtalk from her coworkers.)
